Kyriakos Mitsotakis: Energy transition is a significant opportunity for Greece

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece highlighted the significant progress in renewable energy adoption and grid investments in Greece. The country has made commitments to phase out lignite plants ahead of schedule and has doubled its capacity of solar and wind energy. Mitsotakis emphasized the opportunities in Greece's energy transition, especially in offshore wind energy. He also discussed the importance of interconnectors for a unified European energy market and the need for proper planning for electricity flows. Mitsotakis called for a balanced approach to the energy transition and emphasized the role of moderation in European Parliament elections.
