Large scale battery storage on the rise in Chile

Three developers in Chile announced large-scale battery energy storage projects collocated with solar farms. Enel Chile will deploy a 67 MW/134 MWh battery at El Manzano solar power plant. CJR Renewable will construct a 200 MW/800 MWh BESS for Atlas Renewable at Sol del Desierto photovoltaic plant. Uriel Renovables obtained approval for a 90 MW Quinquimo solar farm with a 90 MW/200 MWh BESS facility.
