LEAG breaks ground on 31 MW solar project in Germany

Energy company LEAG is constructing a 31 MW solar park in the former Jaenschwalde open-pit mine area in eastern Germany to turn the region into a green energy powerhouse. The Jaenschwalde I park will generate electricity for nearly 9,000 households. LEAG's GigawattFactory initiative aims to build 7 GW of renewables in Lusatia with a total investment of EUR 10 billion by 2030.
