To sell generated electricity profitably, system operators need long-term purchase contracts with commercial property tenants. Matching generation and consumption profiles closely increases self-consumption and profitability. The ability to switch between partial and full feed-in is available once a year. Germany's commercial tenant electricity model is about 30% more profitable than full feed-in under current conditions. The leasing concept opens a new market segment and presents opportunities for installers.
