LichtBlick, Energisto set up energy storage JV in Germany

German renewable energy supplier LichtBlick SE and solar project developer Energisto eG have partnered to develop large-scale battery storage projects through a joint venture called GigaCharge. The aim is to obtain permits for batteries with a capacity of up to 400 MWh this year. LichtBlick has diversified its business areas and bolstered grid stability by actively investing in power generation facilities and acquiring wind projects. The company now has a project pipeline of up to 4,000 MW.
