Lithuania testing bifacial PV in noise barriers

Lithuania-based companies SoliTek and Stalcorp are participating in pilot projects integrating PV into noise barriers alongside a railway near Vilnius and the national E5 highway connecting Kaunas and Vilnius. SoliTek is installing frameless, dual glass transparent SoliTek Solid Bifacial 370W modules on a noise barrier wall, expected to generate 13.2 MWh of electricity per year. The projects aim to assess solar power generation efficiency in sound-absorbing walls during the development of railway infrastructure.
