Malaysian IPP to expand solar portfolio with new acquisitions

Malakoff Corporation Berhad, a Kuala Lumpur-based power company, has signed a conditional share sale and purchase agreement with Malaysian engineering company Zelleco Engineering to acquire two companies. The agreement includes the acquisition of 51% of ZEC Solar's total equity and 49% of TJZ Suria's total equity. The deal worth MYR 27 million will add 15 MW of solar capacity to Malakoff's portfolio, enhancing its technical capabilities and contributing to the nation's target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
