MCA unit orders 319 MWh of Li-ion batteries for projects in Angola

Portuguese diversified group MCA Group has contracted 319 MWh of lithium-ion batteries from Samsung SDI for a portfolio of energy storage projects in Angola. The deal with Samsung SDI will allow the electrification of 48 communes in Angola through a battery storage system, part of the local Rural Electrification Project. The project, with construction already underway, aims to provide 'green' electricity to over 200,000 homes and more than a million people by 2026.
