Midsummer to begin production of thin film cells in southern Italy after summer

Swedish company Midsummer is starting operations at its Italian factory in Puglia to produce thin film photovoltaic cells. The factory is supported by Italy's national agency, Invitalia. They have received grants for production and plan to start after the summer. The Bari plant will cater to European markets, especially France and Spain. Midsummer also has plants in Sweden and plans for a second factory in Sweden with a higher capacity.
