Scientists from the University of Jaén in Spain have developed a novel method for monitoring PV plants using an UAV equipped with RGB and thermal cameras to create 3D models of solar panels. The method focuses on thermal image mapping, automatic identification of solar panels, and temperature extraction for performance evaluation.
