Due to a lack of state government support, Province Resources has shelved its multi-gigawatt solar and wind-powered green hydrogen project, HyEnergy, in Western Australia. The project aimed to produce green hydrogen and green ammonia to support Australia's ambition in the global green hydrogen market. Despite the shelving, Province Resources maintains the project in a state of readiness. This decision was made after the state government failed to offer land tenure acceptable to the company. The company now focuses on minerals exploration, acknowledging the Gascoyne region as having excellent wind and solar resources.
