Battery storage developers, including Zenobe, expressed concern in an open letter about batteries being skipped over 90% of the time during constraint periods, leading to increased costs for consumers and wasted renewable energy. The letter highlighted the financial implications and the impact on investor confidence due to underuse of batteries compared to more expensive alternatives.
