Nel concludes fuelling division spin-off, focuses on electrolysers

Norway’s Nel ASA has finalized the spin-off of its former Fueling division and is now focused solely on the development, production, and supply of PEM and alkaline electrolysers. The company has doubled the annual production capacity at the fully automated electrode factory in Heroya, Norway, and is expanding its PEM manufacturing facility in Wallingford, Connecticut. Nel also plans to build a gigafactory in Detroit, Michigan with the financial backing of DOE to produce next-generation PEM and pressurised alkaline electrolysers.
