Neoen wins big battery tender in Australia

Neoen has secured a contract with AEMO for its 1 GW/4 GWh big battery in Collie, Western Australia. The battery will help address the solar duck curve by charging during the day and discharging in the evening peak demand. Neoen has partnered with Tesla and UGL (owned by CIMIC Group) for construction, aiming to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2024.
