NeuConnect construction begins in Germany

Construction has started on the German portion of an interconnector linked to the UK known as NeuConnect, a privately financed project. The link aims to boost energy security, resilience, and reduce carbon emissions by integrating renewable energy sources in both countries. Led by global investors, the project involves building new converter stations and cables in Wilhelmshaven and on the Isle of Grain. The interconnector is expected to be completed by 2028.
