A group of researchers from Tor Vergata University of Rome in Italy developed a novel perovskite solar cell encapsulation process using polyisobutylene (PIB) and boron nitride fillers. The solution aims to increase device stability without requiring advanced perovskite chemistries or specific edge sealants. The encapsulant was tested on various solar cell configurations and modules, showing promising results in terms of thermal management and barrier performance.
