New model to identify optimal power sizing ratio for solar inverters

Researchers at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka proposed a techno-economic optimization approach for defining the optimal power sizing ratio (PSR) for inverters in grid-connected PV systems. The model uses a pattern search algorithm to ensure accurate inverter behavior representation. It considers radiation, thermal representations, and weather data to estimate energy production. The study focuses on the economic feasibility of PSR selection with considerations for inverter costs, operation, and maintenance.
