Researchers from Italy’s University of Camerino have developed a novel way to recover silver from end-of-life solar cells by combining hydrometallurgical and electrochemical processes, achieving a 98% efficiency. The process aims to mitigate environmental harm caused by traditional metal extraction techniques and reduce energy consumption.
