New research into sodium-ion batteries launched

Varta's research center in Graz has been expanded to develop industrially usable and environmentally friendly sodium-ion batteries, aiming to improve cycle stability of cathode and anode. The Entise research project, coordinated by Varta, received funding from the federal government. Sodium-ion batteries are considered a promising alternative to lithium storage.
