Nordex wins 1st turbine order in Latvia with 109-MW project

German wind turbine maker Nordex SE has secured its first order in Latvia to supply turbines for a 108.8-MW wind farm developed by peat extraction company Laflora. The project includes the installation of 16 units of the N175/6.X model on hybrid towers with hub heights of 179 metres. The turbines are the cold climate version and got provisional type certification from TUV SUD. The wind farm will be located in the Kaigu bog in Latvia and is part of a broader wind power complex in the region. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026.
