Nordex wins 1st turbine order in Latvia with 109-MW project

German wind turbine maker Nordex SE has secured its first order in Latvia by supplying turbines for a 108.8-MW wind farm developed by Laflora, located in the Jelgava region. The turbines are N175/6.X models designed for cold climates and mounted on hybrid towers with hub heights of 179 metres. The project, expected to be completed in 2026, is part of a wider wind power complex in the Kaigu bog area, and includes a 35-year Premium Plus Service agreement.
