Norwegian solar company NorSun is investing $620 million in its first US-based factory in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The project, facilitated by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust, will create 320 new direct jobs and provide domestic production of ingot and wafer capacity to support the US solar sector growth. NorSun expects to begin construction on a greenfield site of approximately 60 acres in late 2024 and aims to start production in 2026, with expansion potential up to 10 GW.
