Octopus acquires land for 1GW Oz wind farm

Octopus Australia has acquired 28,000 hectares of land near Deniliquin, NSW for the development of its 1GW Merino Wind Farm, adjacent to the Saltbush Wind Farm. The acquisition brings Octopus' total secured land in SW-NSW REZ to 35,000 hectares. It aims to create firm renewable energy with solar and storage, positioning for future Access Rights Tenders. Darren Brown, co-managing director, highlighted the milestone in Octopus' strategy for a clean energy generation portfolio in Australia.
