Offshore wind, O&G back ‘skills passport’

Offshore wind and oil and gas industry players have collaborated on an energy skills passport project to facilitate cross-sector recognition of expertise and training. The project is supported by various organizations, including RenewableUK and OEUK, with funding from the Scottish government. The focus is on aligning technical qualifications, mapping safety standards, creating career pathways, and assisting workers to transition between sectors. The passport aims to help preserve and expand the UK's energy industry, especially in the offshore wind sector, and aid in meeting net zero targets.
