Oman close to commissioning first solar thermal desalination plant

Austrian solar-tech company Heliovis AG is commissioning a solar-thermally powered desalination plant for treating produced water in Oman. The plant uses HELIOtubes, a solar thermal technology, to produce drinking water. HELIOtube technology aims to provide clean process heat for various industries.
