OnPath Energy gets okay for 60-MW wind farm expansion in Scotland

UK renewables developer OnPath Energy, formerly known as Banks Renewables, has received planning permission to expand its existing wind farm in Scotland by roughly 60 MW. The Lethans wind farm near New Cumnock in East Ayrshire will feature ten new turbines, making them the tallest onshore wind turbines consented in the UK to date. The firm expects the expansion project to create 400 jobs during the construction phase, benefiting the local economy with investments worth GBP 178 million.
