Onshore plans for 2-GW West of Orkney Windfarm gain approval

The Highland Council in Scotland has approved the onshore plans for the 2-GW West of Orkney Windfarm project. The project, developed by Corio Generation, TotalEnergies, and Renewable Infrastructure Development Group, will have up to 125 turbines and aims to start construction in 2027 with power generation in 2029.
