Orbital to build tidal turbines for CfD-backed projects in Nigg

Orbital Marine Power, a Scottish developer of floating tidal stream turbine technology, has selected Global Energy Group as the preferred supplier for its Orkney projects supported by UK government's CfDs. The projects aim to start turbine production in 2024 at the Port of Nigg facility and deliver first power in 2026 to contribute to the UK's decarbonizing goals.
