ORE Catapult gets investment to upgrade for testing bigger turbines

The UK innovation center, Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, will receive GBP 85.6 million in funding from the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to expand and upgrade its testing facilities. This investment will allow testing of blades up to 150m and drive trains up to 23 MW, facilitating the development of next-generation wind turbines in the UK.
