ORE Catapult picks firms to deliver offshore wind testing facilities

The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult in the UK has selected IDOM and RENK Group as preferred contractors for its new blade testing and drive train testing facilities funded by GBP 85.6 million from UK Research and Innovation. IDOM will lead the construction of a 150-metre blade test facility while RENK Group will oversee the installation of a new test rig at the drive train facility in Blyth, increasing capacity to 23 MW.
