ORE Catapult picks firms to deliver offshore wind testing facilities

The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult in the UK has selected IDOM and RENK Group as preferred contractors for its new blade testing and upgraded drive train testing facilities. IDOM will lead the construction of a new 150-metre blade test facility, while RENK Group will oversee the installation of a new test rig at the Catapult’s drive train facility in Blyth. The facilities will boost capacity to 23 MW and 28 MW respectively.
