Oz offshore project secures feasibility licence

Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy has granted a feasibility licence for the 1.2GW Spinifex offshore wind project in the Southern Ocean area off the Victorian coast. The project is being developed by Alinta Energy and Parkwind, a part of JERA Nex. The Minister highlighted the potential of offshore wind in powering communities and industries in Southwest Victoria with reliable renewable energy, creating new jobs and supporting regional development.
