PCR, ArcelorMittal Acindar open 112.5-MW wind farm in Argentina

Argentine cement and energy group PCR SA and long steel producer ArcelorMittal Acindar have inaugurated their 112.5-MW San Luis Norte wind farm at a site in Argentina’s San Luis province. The wind farm was built for USD 210 million to power Acindar’s operations. San Luis Norte wind farm features 25 Vestas wind turbines and is set to become the first hybrid power facility in Argentina once a solar farm is added. ArcelorMittal Acindar, a part of ArcelorMittal SA, will be joining the project to create a 130.5-MW hybrid complex that will produce electricity for 210,000 homes per year.
