PGE, Ørsted lease Gdansk terminal for 1.5-GW Baltica 2 wind project

Polish utility PGE and Denmark's Ørsted signed a lease agreement for the future T5 terminal in the port of Gdansk for their 1.5-GW Baltica 2 offshore wind project in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. The project aims to use 14-MW Siemens Gamesa wind turbines by the end of 2027 and will be followed by Baltica 3 of 1 GW. The lease agreement is with Istrana, a special purpose company owned by the Polish Development Fund and Baltic Hub.
