The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) is collaborating with the Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate offshore wind projects by repurposing and modernizing port infrastructure. The PPA will support the DOE in repurposing three priority ports - Port of Currimao, Port of Batangas, and Port of Jose Panganiban to facilitate the installation and operation of offshore wind projects. The DOE has identified these three ports as critical for offshore wind development due to their proximity to high-potential offshore wind energy service contracts.
