Platte River, Qcells break ground on 257-MW Colorado solar project

Platte River Power Authority and Qcells USA Corp are collaborating on the 257-MW Black Hollow Solar project in northern Colorado. The project, spanning nearly 1,400 acres, will be completed in two phases. Qcells, a division of Hanhwa Solutions, is the turnkey contractor for the project. The electricity generated will be sold to Platte River under a long-term power purchase agreement, contributing to their renewable energy portfolio.
