Plenitude, Avintia Energia team up on 850 MW of solar in Spain

Italy’s Plenitude partners with Spanish renewables contractor Avintia Energia to develop 7 solar photovoltaic projects in Spain with a total capacity of 850 MW, potentially increasing to 1 GW. The projects include battery energy storage systems and will be entered into Spain’s capacity tenders. Avintia Energia has existing portfolios of wind, solar, and joint venture plans with limited financial capacity, aiming to expand with external partners. Plenitude aims to grow its operational renewables portfolio from 2.5 GW to over 15 GW by 2030, while also operating as a power and gas retailer in Spain.
