President of Azerbaijan supports the Black Sea underwater cable project

Azerbaijan's President, Ilham Aliyev, expressed support for the Black Sea underwater cable project during a joint press conference with Bulgaria's President, Rumen Radev. The two countries have been strategic partners since 2015, with a focus on expanding relations in various sectors, particularly in energy. Azerbaijan has significantly increased its gas exports to Bulgaria, with plans for further growth. Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan's involvement in the green energy cable project across the Black Sea, aiming to position the country as a green energy supplier in addition to oil and gas. The feasibility study for the project is expected to be completed soon.
