The installation of a small photovoltaic array at an Argentine military base in Patagonia led to a diplomatic incident with Chile. President Boric complained about solar panels being placed in Chilean territory. The system, developed by TotalEnergies, Mirgor Foundation, Wintershall Dea, and Panamerican Energy, included 18 solar panels with a total capacity of 9.9 kW. Talks between the two countries began regarding the location of the facility, found to be three meters inside Chilean territory. The panels will be removed following the conflict.
