Berlin-based Q Energy secures €50.4 million for a 74.3 MW floating solar power plant in France. The project, financed by Crédit Agricole Transitions & Energies and Bpifrance, is set to be the largest of its kind in Europe. Construction is ongoing at a quarry in Haute-Marne department, set to cover 127 hectares with 134,649 solar modules on floats. The array aims to supply electricity to 37,000 inhabitants once completed in 2025, boosting renewable energies in France.
