Qcells to use ‘lowest cost, highest efficiency’ Lumet metallisation tech for cell production

Qcells partners with Lumet, a specialist in solar cell metallisation technology, to reduce solar cell production costs by deploying fine-line metallisation technology that decreases silver usage. Lumet's Fine Line process enables higher efficiency and lower costs by producing silver fingers of sub-10 microns. Danielle Merfeld from Qcells praises Lumet's technology for setting records in various aspects. Qcells is building a vertically integrated manufacturing base in the US with plans for an expansive facility. Lumet is a subsidiary of the Landa Group and aims to bring its technology to the mass production PV solar market.
