REA welcomes Lib Dem renewables ambition

The Liberal Democrats manifesto for the 2024 general election has been welcomed by the Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology (REA). Nina Skorupska, CEO of the REA, praised the manifesto for recognizing the immediate need for action in UK energy policy and aligning with REA calls. The manifesto includes commitments to a 90% renewable power target by 2030 and implementing a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). Skorupska looks forward to collaborating with the Liberal Democrats to enhance the UK's role as a global climate change leader.
