Recurrent Energy files EIS for 250-MW solar, BESS project in Chile

Recurrent Energy, a unit of Canadian Solar Inc, is pursuing approval for its 250-MW Zaldivar solar and battery energy storage project in Antofagasta, Chile. The project involves a solar farm with bifacial monocrystalline modules and a 250-MW four-hour battery energy storage system. Construction is planned to start in March 2026. Recurrent Energy's entity Zapaleri SpA has secured 15-year power purchase agreements for the project.
