Recurrent, Windel get planning permission for 200-MW BESS in UK

Recurrent Energy and Windel Energy have secured planning permission for their joint project to deploy 200 MW/400 MWh battery energy storage system in the UK. The facility will be located between Todhills and Westlinton in Carlisle and connected to the Harker National Grid Substation. Construction is expected to start in the last quarter of 2029.
