Renewables earnings surge at RWE

RWE has recorded a significant increase in earnings in its offshore wind and onshore wind/solar segments. The positive earnings development is due to improved wind conditions, new capacity commissioning, and business activities recognition. Markus Krebber, chief executive of RWE, mentioned the success of the 'Growing Green' strategy resulting in more than half of the adjusted EBITDA coming from wind and solar energy business. RWE has invested billions in expanding its diversified portfolio and reducing CO2 emissions. The company made final investment decisions for wind, battery, and solar projects with 2.9GW capacity. Green electricity production reached a record level with a significant share generated from renewable sources.
