RES seeks permit for Oxfordshire solar site

RES has submitted a planning application for a 50MW solar farm in Nuneham Courtenay, England. The project aims to combine sheep farming with renewable electricity production, ensuring sensitivity to the landscape and biodiversity. Claire Chamberlain, Development Project Manager at RES, highlights the importance of enhancing local biodiversity and the potential for a biodiversity net gain of 70% through the Landscape Masterplan. The project includes the creation of native species-rich hedgerows and tree planting to support wildlife corridors.
