RES seeks permit to install 49.9-MW battery in Devon

RES Group is proposing to install a 49.9-MW battery energy storage system in Devon, Southwest England. The scheme has been submitted to Torridge District Council for review. The BESS will assist National Grid in balancing electricity demand and generation, with a construction timeline of around 12 months. RES has a decade of experience in the battery energy storage sector and has completed over 700MW of projects in the UK and Ireland.
