Researchers assess degradation in PV systems older than 15 years

Scientists at the Polish Academy of Sciences studied PV installations in Sinsheim, Germany. They observed a decrease in energy productivity over time and analyzed inverter failures. The research group compared two rooftop PV systems, noting differences in energy unit productivity and degradation rates. Their findings were published in Applied Energy.
