Rio Tinto to build 80MW solar PV plant in Western Australia

Rio Tinto plans to build a 80MW solar PV plant in Pilbara to replace up to 11% of natural gas used for power. They are collaborating with the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation for this project. Additionally, Rio Tinto has announced the development of solar farms in the Gove Peninsula and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation for projects in the Pilbara region.
