Rolls-Royce, partners seek to develop hydrogen engine for CHP

Rolls-Royce Power Systems, a German subsidiary of Rolls-Royce Holdings, is leading a consortium for the development of a hydrogen combustion engine called Phoenix. The project aims to create a highly efficient engine for combined heat and power systems. The consortium includes companies like MAHLE Konzern and Robert Bosch AG. Rolls-Royce has already developed a gas-powered mtu engine running on hydrogen.
